These are clients we have helped, from middle-parting recovery to full restoration.

Case Study #1: Restoring Confidence After a Bad SMP Experience From Brand X

This client had previously undergone SMP at another salon using a manual hand-dotted method. Over time, the pigment began to smudge and merge into unnatural shapes.

As she was hesitant to remove the old SMP via laser, our specialist applied ROM’s advanced micro-dot technique. Ultra-precise micro-dots were strategically layered to soften the appearance of old SMP and restore a more balanced look.

You can see in the green circle just how refined and discreet our dot placement truly is.

Progression images of a person's scalp showing hair thinning. The first image labeled 'Before' shows noticeable hair thinning and a wider part. The second image labeled 'After 1 Session' shows increased hair density and a narrower part. The third image labeled 'After 2 Sessions' shows further improved hair density with a more even scalp.

Case Study #2: White Birthmark at Middle-Parting

This client was born with a white birthmark along her middle parting and she always assumed this is something she had to live with.

As her hair grew out, the patch would become more exposed, often mistaken for balding.

The photos above were sent in by the client herself, showing her journey through two sessions. You can notice how the second session deepens the density and creates an even more natural blend.

Since then, not a single person has asked if she’s balding and for her, that quiet confidence is everything.

Comparison of a man's scalp before and after 2 SMP (scalp micropigmentation) sessions, showing increased hair density and appearance of a fuller scalp.

As women age, one common concern is a receding side hairline. On the left, our client completed just one session and already felt confident with the result. The process was painless, and the result so natural that a second session was entirely optional.

On the right, our male client experienced noticeable thinning across the crown.

After two sessions, the difference is subtle yet striking, blending in seamlessly without calling attention to itself.

Case Study #3: Hair Thinning

Comparison of a person's scalp before and after hair treatment. The 'before' image shows a scalp with greasy hair and visible dryness. The 'after' image shows a cleaner, shinier scalp with healthier hair.

Case Study #4: Folliculitis

One of our clients came to us while managing a recurring scalp condition (folliculitis).

Folliculitis is a common skin condition characterised by inflammation or infection of hair follicles, usually appearing as small itchy, red, or white-headed pimples around hair follicles.

After some time on treatment and with her scalp fully settled, she reached back out:

  • Booked her session once she was ready

  • Completed SMP with no pain, no scabbing

  • Called the results “very natural” and “highly recommended”

  • Even committed to coming back yearly to support our work

At Roots of Majesty, we believe every journey is unique and we’re here for it.

  • SMP is a relatively new service in Singapore, but extremely popular in Korea. It is a beauty service to help clients achieve a naturally fuller hairline, using the illusion of micro pigmentation dots.

  • SMP uses a special machine to deposit tiny pigment dots on the scalp, mimicking natural hair follicles. It helps to narrow wide hair parting or make our hairline look fuller. At Roots of Majesty, we use advanced techniques for precise, clean dots that blend seamlessly. No smudging or uneven results like outdated hand-dotting methods.

You’ll see a difference after just one session, and a second session boosts longevity, making it last 2-3 years. It’s non-invasive and perfect for a fuller, natural look.

  • Nope! It doesn’t change colour. It softens over time, making it low maintenance and more natural.

  • SMP is generally not painful, as we use numbing cream to keep you comfortable during the process.

Most clients say it feels like tiny pinpricks or a light scratching sensation. It’s so comfy that some customers fall asleep.

There is also no downtime, you can get back on your routine immediately.

  • Yes, you can. For both dyed hair and hair growth treatment, we recommend at least 5 before and 14 days after your SMP session to ensure the scalp micro wounds have fully healed. This helps the pigments settle into the scalp without any irritation.

  • With SMP priced at $288 per unit, it’s common for a middle parting to be around 2-3 units, making it approximately $576–$864.

To put it into perspective: 1 unit at Roots of Majesty = Eyebrow embroidery of 2 brows. (Usually valued at $300)

  • We recommend waiting 14 days between sessions to allow the micro-wounds to fully heal and the pigments to settle properly. While a second session isn’t a must, it’s highly recommended to extend the longevity of your SMP.
