At Roots of Majesty, we believe that nothing on the scalp should stay permanent.
Our technique is therefore designed to soften naturally over time instead of leaving a harsh or permanent result for years.
Rather than aiming for the darkest result in one session, we gradually build density one layer at a time, allowing every treatment to be customised to each individual.
Roots of Majesty is also one of the few beauty studios that specialises solely on SMP.Don’t just take our word for it. View the case study.

SMP is a relatively new service in Singapore, but extremely popular in Korea for the past few years. It is a beauty service to help clients achieve a naturally fuller hairline, using the illusion of micro pigmentation dots.
-
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) deposits tiny pigment into the scalp to mimic natural hair follicles, reducing the contrast between the hair and scalp for a fuller appearance.
At Roots of Majesty, we build density gradually over sessions for a soft, natural result that fades naturally over time.
-
With proper technique and quality pigments, the goal is for the pigment to soften naturally rather than shift into unnatural colours.
-
Most clients describe it as a prickly or a vibrating sensation rather than pain. A numbing cream is applied for utmost comfort.
-
Yes, you can.
For both dyed hair and hair growth treatment, we recommend at least 5 days before and 14 days after your SMP session to ensure the scalp micro wounds have fully healed. This helps the pigments settle into the scalp without any irritation.
-
Our SMP is $300 nett per unit, per session. The number of units required depends on the size and sparseness of the area.
As a general reference, a typical parting is around 2–3 units ($600–$900 nett per session).
You can send us a clear photo of the area you’d like to focus. We’ll assess and provide you with a personalised quotation.

We recommend waiting 14 days between sessions to allow the micro-wounds to fully heal and the pigments to settle properly.
1 session creates a subtle, natural improvement in density. A second session adds more layers, giving a fuller and refined appearance.
